Why? Why you Norm?
I'm going to ask myself that forever.
Norman died after a battle with cancer, one which he lost but one which didn't take away his happy, beautiful personality.
Born in Scotland, Norman spent the majority of his life in Whitby, married & happy.
He worked for over 25 years for Deutag Drilling and during his latter years he worked as a ride maintenance man at Flamingo land.
Whichever job Norman was doing he always made sure he did it well, he took a pride in his work and very rarely took time off for anything.
He took such a pride in his work that he was in fact still working until just a couple weeks before Christmas and then when the cancer insisted he took time off, worried about making sure he had a sick note to cover him.
He was a funny guy who would absolutely crease up when he was laughing, which was a lot of the time!
People loved Norman wherever he went, there was nothing about him to not like..
Norman was generous to a fault, would give anyone anything and often did. ( Unless you were after his wine gums, fizzy orange or his biscuits!! )
He is going to be missed so much, him leaving has made a massive void in our family.
He leaves behind his heartbroken wife Margaret, his daughters Lianna, Erika and Jenny.
His grandchildren, Corey, Beth, Trini, Kieran & India are left without their funny grand dad who they all loved so much.
As his sister in law for over 30 years I am devastated, he was a big hearted man who cannot ever be replaced....Our very own

well well dad am missing you loads.... u beat cancer once.... but 1 day it decided 2 beat you n take u away from us :( god decided it was time for you to go your out of pain now dad... but i wish you were still here because its just not the same with out you here.... i dont want to sound nasty dad but i didnt want you in pain any more dad i loved you with all my heart n i love you even more now because you were my dad who made me strong n told me never to get upset and angry... n i listened to you you made me a proud daughter dad n i made you a proud dad :) am gonna miss you loads dad..... but we will keep mum safe :) and we will all look after her you made her a proud wife and mum was proud of you... love u millions dad and keep mum safe from heaven take care dad never forgotton love you n miss you xxxxxxxxxxx
